OPSI's Human Centered focus on AI puts the responsibility on the human user to both choose to use the tools with good intention when they enter a prompt and to evaluate the accuracy and worth of the output it provides. But how to we teach students and staff how to evaluate AI content. How do we know what to trust is truth? Teaching students and staff Media Literacy skills is a good first step to providing them with the SIFT skills to evaluate content. SIFT stands for Stop, Investigate the Source, Find Better Coverage and Trace to the Original Context.
