Inclusion has been a buzz word in schools for many years. But as an observer in an inclusive setting, you might notice that there are students with disabilities in the room while at the same time noticing that the extent of the inclusion ends there- they are in the same room. How to we move from the idea of inclusion to creating a learning environment where all students are actively engaged and feel like they belong?

Outcomes of this session include:
· Noting some of the key features of belonging
· Learning some no-tech to high-tech tips to create an inclusive learning environment
· Reflecting on how some of our own beliefs and biases are reflected in our classrooms
· Developing some goals and next steps for creating a culture of belonging
