LGBTQ+ students spend an enormous amount of mental energy navigating a world that leaves them feeling unseen and unsafe. The results are obvious: mental health challenges; social withdrawal; academic disengagement; missing school due to feeling unsafe.

It does not have to be this way. We know what makes their lives better and easier and we are lucky to have Washington State Laws built on these very practices.

You'll leave this workshop with clarity about the support practices that are proven by research and required by Gender Inclusive Schools Laws and your district's policies. Practically, you will gain the confidence and insight to put this knowledge to work for LGBTQ+ students.
