About me
Robert joined Advanced Classroom Technologies in 2022 as the VP of Innovation, School & Student Success. Robert serves as ACT's thought leader and advocate in this role, helping school leaders drive strategic change through technology transformation. Robert will work to inform teachers, school leaders, and ACT’s solution teams of the relative advantages and challenges of different technologies on instruction. He aims to ensure that content becomes more accessible to students--visually through vivid imagery and media and acoustically through classroom audio systems that boost the teacher’s voice.Throughout his career, Robert has striven to create a digital learning culture for students and school staff. Most recently, he served as the Executive Director of Technology and Operations in the Anacortes School District. He successfully led a rapid change effort to modernize classroom technologies across the District, replacing outdated projectors with interactive flat panels, digital document cameras, and voice enhancement systems with video conferencing capability. Before ACT, he performed similar work in Monroe, Tukwila, and Northshore School District. Robert has served learners of all ages and backgrounds. He has developed and implemented professional learning programs for corporate enterprises, public agencies, and private schools. He is a certified teacher in Washington with endorsements in English, Elementary Education, and Special Education. He has taught 5th through 12th grade in Utah, Texas, and Washington State. Robert graduated from Brigham Young University and received his MEd and MBA from Western Governors University.
