About me
Kris Hagel is a seasoned education leader with 23 years of experience in the education industry. Kris is driven to ensure that all learners can use the technological solutions they need in whatever manner best supports their goals and aspirations. Skilled in technology architecture and adept at envisioning solutions to problems that require innovative thinking leveraging a mix of best practices and cutting-edge possibilities. Currently serving as the Executive Director of Digital Learning, Kris co-led the transition of several departments into a centralized department of Learning & Innovation and played a key role in implementing MTSS and Universal Design for Learning instructional initiatives. Kris was also instrumental in the emergency roll-out of over 3000 devices during the COVID-19 closure.
In previous roles, the candidate served as the Chief Information Officer and Director of Technical Services. Kris demonstrated leadership skills in these roles by overseeing the Communications department and guiding the operational and instructional technology teams. Kris also developed successful initiatives such as the 1:1 program "PSD Possibilities" to provide devices for all students and a direct job-embedded professional development program for teaching staff.
