About me
Hi! My name is Sarah Butcher. I am dedicated to fostering an equitable, accessible, and inclusive education system that empowers each student to thrive. With a keen ability to identify connections across systems, I leverage relationship-building, family and community engagement, advocacy, and policy initiatives to improve outcomes for young people with disabilities. I am deeply committed to centering the voices of those most impacted those most impacted by a system are centered in the design process for understanding and improving it.
I serve on multiple state-level workgroups, coalitions, and projects focused on improving student outcomes by evolving systems to be more equitable, inclusive, and supportive of the whole child. Previously, I was the Co-chair of the Washington State SEL Advisory Committee and served as Vice-Chair of the Washington State Special Education Advisory Council.
