The Root Of Our Youth, a youth advocacy, research and implementation organization that practices Racial, Social and Educational Justice while centering youth mental health, for this transparent panel discussion. Their intergenerational approaches are rooted in trauma-informed, healing-centered practices that foster structures by which students and families of Color make policies that impact their day-to-day experiences. The ROOY embraces authenticity, counter-storytelling, collaboration, empowerment and belonging, in order to build strong, equitable and inclusive communities of practice. The youth will continue to speak, listen, lead, liberate, mentor, inspire, serve and dismantle systems of oppression while designing new ways of being for a future rooted in our humanity - one root at a time.
