Stories shape the human experience. They help us build empathy, passion, and understanding. As educators, it is critical that we honor the stories of our students and value their voices. Exploring our own stories can also help us understand what calls us to the work we do and drive us to stay true to our core beliefs and values. In this session, we will dive into Marshall Ganz's framework for Stories of Self, Us, and Now and learn how to create public narratives that recount a personal journey and help you create educational experiences that value student identity and create a sense of belonging.
