About me
I am a COTA/L (Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant/Licensed) at Northshore School District. I have 8 years of experience as an occupational therapy practitioner: 3 years in skilled nursing facilities and 5 years in public schools. I primarily work with secondary students, providing assistive technology solutions to students who struggle with producing written work in the classroom. I love collaborating with teachers, paras, and other staff, so our students can fully access their class curriculum and work along side their peers! I created the Motor/Handwriting Assistive Tech Accommodation Menu for the Classroom to support teaching staff, so they can use these tools in their classrooms to help enable them to meet the accommodation requirements listed under students' IEPs. I see my role as a school COTA/L as not only a source of support for students but for teaching staff, as well!
